The Biblical Canon of
Codex Sangermanensis I
The Codex Sangermanensis I is a Latin manuscript containing the Latin Vulgate New Testament and Septuagint Old Testament. It is dated to 822 A.D. The Order of books in New Testament are the Gospels, Acts, Catholic epistles, Apocalypse, and Pauline epistles, followed by the Shepherd of Hermas. Only nine books of the Old Testament have survived; Chronicles, Ezra-Nehemiah, 4 Ezra, Esther, Proverbs, and the Deuterocanonical books of Wisdom and Sirach.
