The Biblical Canon of
Codex Sinaiticus

The Codex Sinaiticus is a Greek manuscript of the Bible that dates to the early part of the fourth century. It is one of the four great uncial codices (ancient manuscripts which originally contained the whole of both the Old and New Testaments) along with Codex Alexandrinus and Codex Vaticanus.  It is one of the earliest and most complete manuscripts of the Bible, containing the majority of the Greek Old Testament (Septuagint), including along with the deuterocanonical books, and the Greek New Testament, which includes both the Epistle of Barnabas and the Shepherd of Hermas.  It does not differentiate the Epistle of Barnabas and the Shepherd of Hermas from what would become the modern New Testament.  It omits, however, Mark 16:9-20 as well as John 7:53–8:11.
